Anand played out his fourth draw at the Grand Chess Tour as the game against French chess player Maxime Vachier-Lagrave ended in a deadlock. Ding Liren was the only winner in the tournament on the day as he got the better of Anish Giri in 64 moves on Monday. Russia’s Ian Nepomniachtchi is still ahead with four points from the Chinese player.
Earlier in the tournament, the Indian chess legend had played out a draw against American chess player Wesley So in the fourth round. The fourth round of the tour was the only round which saw all the games ending in a draw.
