Kuldeep Yadav's family was very happy with the performance of the young lad on the first day of the decider between India and Australia. The family welcomed this proud moment with celebrations and sweets. The 22-year-old made a dream debut by taking 4 wickets on day 1 to limit the Aussies to 300.

Ram Singh who runs a brick field in Uttar Pradesh sat glued to his TV set waiting for the Indian team playing XI on Saturday. These nervous moments were due to a call from his son Kuldeep Yadav who had a chance to make a debut for team India.

When the team lineup showed his son's name he decided to skip work and see him play. When Kuldeep took the first wicket of his international test career the family was overjoyed and couldn't restrict their tears. This was the time for celebrations for the chinaman bowler's family. Sweets were brought in to celebrate the occasion.

Kuldeep took his second wicket soon dismissing Peter Handscomb. The family welcomed it with elated chants. The third wicket was not far either after which the whole locality joined in on the celebrations. Ram Singh was busy answering constant congratulatory phone calls.

He said,"Kuldeep had called me last evening and said, 'I could get a chance to play tomorrow'. He calls us every evening and we are feeling elated right now. He has been a consistent performer and I hope he continues to get people's love and support and God's blessings"

Ram Singh confessed to skipping work every time his son is in action.
