The 2017 IPL has already seen some outstanding catches and Pune pacer Jaydev Unadkat added his name to the list in the most important match of the tournament. After Lendl Simmons got a leading edge on an Unadkat's ball, the pacer was quick to react and took a stunning catch, inches off the ground.

The Saurashtra pacer has been on a roll in this season's IPL and has become one of the most important members of the Pune franchise. After having contributed enough with the ball, against Mumbai Indians, he decided to write his name on the best fielding efforts of the season as well.

After dismissing Parthiv Patel with a slow cutter, he outfoxed Simmons with another cutter. But more than the delivery, it was his spectacular effort on the field left the viewers in awe. Simmons, who failed to pick up the slower delivery, was looking to gently push the ball towards the leg side but got a thick leading edge that popped back towards Unadkat. The 25-year-old, who was in his follow-through and not completely stable on his feet, pushed his left hand out and managed to get his fingers under the ball, mere inches from the ground, to complete an exceptional catch.
