The fourth match of the five-match limited overs series between India-A and England Lions is being held at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. All the people at the stadium were taken by surprise as a swarm of bees took over the stadium and play had to be stopped as per reports on TOI.
As per the report, play was stopped for about 15 minutes and all the support staff and officials went inside to prevent any untoward incident. The players waited on the field near the pitch but chose not to go off the field. No match officials or players were reported to be injured but there were few people among the spectators who were reported to be taken to a hospital. The incident took during the 48th over of the Lions’ innings.
The India-A team had already taken an unassailable lead of 3-0 in the five-match ODI series before this match. Once again the visitors could manage to set only 222 runs target, in the fourth match and lost the encounter on the back of solid 73 runs inning from Rishabh Pant.
