ICC Test Rankings | Kyle Jamieson moves up to third position, Dean Elgar enters top 10 in batting charts

Kyle Jamieson has moved up to the third position in the latest ICC Test bowling rankings, as he picked eight wickets in the recently concluded series against Bangladesh. Dean Elgar broke into the top 10 in batting charts as he scored two half-centuries in the ongoing Test series against India.

Kyle Jamieson and Litton Das have achieved their career-best Test rankings for their performance in the recently drawn series between New Zealand and Bangladesh. Jamieson picked eight wickets in Two tests against Bangladesh and gained eight places in the rankings. The right-arm fast bowler currently holds the third position in the bowling charts with 825 rating points. Trent Boult also moved up three places to 12th with nine wickets in the series against Bangladesh.

Litton Das scored 196 runs in the two-match series with a century in the second fixture, and has moved up 17 places to 15th. Other notable ranking improvements for Bangladesh include Mominul Haque (up to eight places to 37th) and Najmul Hossain Shanto (up 21 places to 87th). Ebadot Hossain jumped 17 places to 88th after his six-wicket haul in the first Test. 

Two half-centuries for Dean Elgar in the series against India has placed him in the 10th spot in the batting charts. The South Africa captain has entered the top 10 for the first time since January 2019. Duanne Olivier is placed 22nd, while Shardul Thakur is in 42nd position in the bowling charts after his seven-wicket haul against South Africa in the first innings at the Wanderers.

Usman Khawaja has re-entered the batting charts, and is placed at the 26th position after scoring two successive hundreds in the fourth Ashes Test. Steve Smith has jumped to the third position, and Marnus Labuschagne retained his top spot in the batting charts.

The latest rankings also see Ben Stokes (up nine places to 18th) and Jonny Bairstow (up 16 places to 55th). Stuart Broad has advanced two places to 14th and Mark Wood has gained three places to 41st in the bowling charts.
