CSK vs LSG | Twitter reacts to wrong-footed KL Rahul's one-handed stunner to dispatch Ajinkya Rahane

For all the technicalities associated with sports, form remains a wondrous enigma that can make a world-class veteran look like an amateur rookie and vice versa. Having experienced a surge of late himself with the bat, KL Rahul's form translated into his wicketkeeping as well on Tuesday.

‌Lucknow Super Giants embarked upon the Chennai Super Kings' den at Chepauk on Tuesday hoping to pull off the double after having beaten the Yellow Army comfortably at home in their previous encounter. KL Rahul won the toss for the visitors and opted to bowl first, a decision that paid dividends in the first over itself as Matt Henry sent Ajinkya Rahane packing for a score of one, courtesy of a brilliant catch by the skipper.

Bowling from around the wicket, the Kiwi steamed in on the last ball off the opening over and pitched the Kookaburra full and straight, angling towards the stumps. Rahane was instinctively drawn into a drive but the ball flew off the outside edge of his willow and seemed to be destined for the boundary. However, Rahul who had been shuffling to his left, sharply stopped in his tracks to take off on the opposite side with an outstretched right hand. The white rock stuck in his palm to shock the roaring M.A. Chidambaram arena while a wide-eyed Rahul remained on the deck in amazement.

Twitterati was quick to get on social media and express their appreciation for the crucial grab.
