Cricket has seen many unique shots being crafted by legends, just like the iconic helicopter shot by MS Dhoni. In a perfect tribute to the former Indian skipper, Trent Rockets' Rashid Khan delivered a blazing helicopter shot against Welsh Fire at Trent Bridge, making fans nostalgic.

‌Chasing 130 runs, the Trent Rockets started well with Tom Banton and Alex Hales putting up 32/0 in the fifth set. However, their middle order struggled as Joe Root and Rovman Powell failed to fire, leaving the scorecard at 94/4 after 77 deliveries. With Welsh spinners dominating, all eyes were on Rashid Khan to finish things off for the Rockets. Additionally, in the 17th set, he delivered a brilliant helicopter shot giving fans a tinge of nostalgia.

On the 83rd delivery, Luke Wells came over the wicket and bowled a length ball at the off stump. The ball pitched perfectly between off and middle stump as Rashid aimed to capitalize on it. The Afghanistan skipper judged the line well and unleashed a helicopter shot sending the ball sailing wide towards the long-off region for a maximum. After executing the iconic shot, Rashid was seen smiling as he received a thunderous response from the crowd. Seeing Rashid’s powerful hit and the throwback to MS Dhoni’s signature move, the Twitterverse couldn’t contain the nostalgia.
