With seven wickets lost in the second innings of the first day, West Indies struggled to get a lead against a 160-run South African total. The overnight batters Jason Holder and Jomel Warrican resumed proceedings on the morning session before Kagiso Rabada struck down the latter for a 16-ball duck. While Jayden Seales failed to gleam with the bat, a last-wicket partnership of 40 runs steered West Indies to 144 runs at the end of the second innings. While South African openers were cautious against the new ball at the start, an unprecedented event took place causing disruption in the game’s flow.

Seales kicked off with the ball along with Jason Holder for the Windies side. The pair tried to bowl tight lines and did create chances as well but Tony de Zorzi and Aiden Markram countered them with fortune’s assist. However, when Seales was bowling in his first spell, one of the slow-motion replays focused on a dragonfly attacking the paceman during his runup stride. With the insect dashing onto the Seales’ right-eye, the bowler was left with no choice but to reload the delivery. A funny, yet quirky incident was spotted on social media and the folks buzzed around it.
