IPL 2024 | Twitter reacts to Faf-Karn bromance blended in a cheek pinching moment to send Miller packing

A game of cricket can have plenty of twists and turns and such was the case when RCB squared off against GT in M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. After a dropped catch off Karn Sharma, the wrist spinner pegged back with a wicket to outsmart David Miller and fragment a building stand.

The RCB bowlers backed captain Faf du Plessis’ decision to field first with tight bowling, reducing the opposition to the lowest powerplay score of 23/3 in the Indian Premier League 2024. Although Shahrukh Khan and David Miller tried to stabilize the stage with a 61-run stand, Karn Sharma ended up frustrating the South African by getting the better of him after the halfway mark of the innings.

The leggie dropped a regulation catch on the third ball of the eleventh over as Cameron Green dished a short of a length delivery at the midriff region that Miller whipped aerially towards fine leg. Following the dropped chance, Karn was summoned in the next over when he bowled a wrong’un around the leg stump line after Miller whacked him for a six. Miller was too carried away by seeing a wrist spinner and ended up getting a top-edge down the throat of Glenn Maxwell at long on.

Miller was seen visibly frustrated as soon as he failed to middled the ball while Faf pressed Karn’s cheek after the wicket, leaving the Twitterverse into a frenzy about their bromance
