If a team had three Fernandinhos, they would be champions, says Guardiola

Pep Guardiola's unbeaten streak of 10 matches in all competitions after joining Manchester City looked to have come to an end when Celtic took the lead in the Champions League group stage match in the opening minutes through Moussa Dembele. But Brazilian midfielder came to their rescue by equalizing in the 11th minute. City later secured a thrilling 3-3 draw, thus keeping their unbeaten run intact. 

Following his performance against the Scottish side, Fernandinho was showered with heavy praise from the Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola. The former Barcelona manager said this to say about the 31-year old Brazlian.

"Fernandinho can do everything," the manager told reporters, ahead of Sunday's match against Tottenham Hotspur. "What we have achieved so far would have been impossible without him.

"He is fast, he is intelligent, strong in the air and he can play in several positions. No sooner does he see a space than he runs there immediately. If you need someone to make a correction or a challenge, he sees it too,” Guardiola said, reported ESPN FC.

"If a team had three Fernandinhos, they would be champions. We only have one and he is very important to us," Guardiola added.

Speaking about Tottemham, who sit second in the points table with their 6-match unbeaten run in the Premier League, Guardiola said, "What I like is teams who are active and you see that when they play, they want the ball. They(Spurs) want to keep it and they are so aggressive without the ball. I like to see that and Liverpool and Tottenham are both teams in that way.
