Sky Sports have reported that Giovani Lo Celso has arrived in London to complete a £55m move from Real Betis to Tottenham Hotspur. The deal could rise up to £60m with potential add-ons. The player didn’t feature in the Betis during their friendly with Las Palmas on Wednesday night.

Tottenham are on the verge of acquiring 23-year-old Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis this summer. The North London side have been heavily linked with a move for the attacking midfielder’ and finally look to complete the move. The transfer will make him Spurs' second-biggest signing ever, just behind French midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, who cost £63m from Olympique Lyon, earlier this summer. It is expected that the Argentine will be in London for a medical on Thursday.

Tottenham were also interested in signing Brazilian International Phillipe Coutinho from Barcelona and Paulo Dybala from Juventus, but have moved away for a move for the former, with Juventus rejecting one for the latter. It is reported that the former Anfield player would not be interested in playing for Liverpool’s league rivals, while there was a disagreement regarding Dybala's image rights.

Mauricio Pochettino also hopes to complete a deadline day deal for Fulham’s left-back, Ryan Sessegnon, before the transfer window is shut. The Under-21 England International has been linked to Spurs throughout the window, and transfer negotiations with Fulham have been dragging on all summer. The Cottagers have been demanding a hefty fee of  £30m for the teenage sensation, a fee that Spurs are willing to pay.
