Ivory Coast international Nicolas Pepe will arrive in London this week to undergo Arsenal medical after the two sides reached an agreement over a €80 million transfer fee. The Gunners out-did the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, Napoli and Inter Milan for the 24-year-old forward.

According to Sky Sports, Nicolas Pepe will be in London this week to undergo Arsenal medical and officially sign for the Gunners. The 24-year-old forward will be a record-breaking sign for Arsenal, with LOSC Lille happy with an €80 million transfer fee. Arsenal will reportedly pay €22 million upfront, with the remainder being pay on a series of instalments over the next five-years.

Pepe will sign a five-year deal, earning around €165.000 per week, reinforcing a powerful attacking front-line that includes Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette. Arsenal will face Newcastle on August 11 in their Premier League opener, a match that will see the 24-year-old forward in an Arsenal shirt for the first time.

However, the Gunners still have two games left to complete their pre-season campaign, playing against Angers on Wednesday and facing FC Barcelona at Camp Nou on Sunday. Arsenal boss Unai Emery could give the Ivorian international his unofficial debut against the La Liga giants.

Pepe had a breakthrough season, scoring 22 goals and contributing 11 assists to help Lille securing an impressive second place in Ligue 1 and guaranteed spot in this season's Champions League.
