According to the Telegraph, Championship side Cardiff City are set to table offers for both Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey after Wales qualified for the 2022 World Cup. Bale is set to leave Real Madrid at the end of June once his contract expires while Ramsey’s future at Juventus is not secure.

With Wales beating Ukraine in the playoff final to reach a World Cup for the first time in over 60 years, it had many fans wondering what would happen to Gareth Bale. The forward had hinted at retiring from football after his contract with Real Madrid expired and that was the case after the Los Blancos confirmed that Bale would be leaving at the end of the 2021/22 season. But with Wales having qualified for the tournament, reports have indicated that Bale has pushed his retirement plans.

However, that does force the forward to sign for a new club on a short-term contract in order to stay match fit and it has seen him linked to several clubs. But the Telegraph has reported that Cardiff City are set to table an audacious bid for Bale with them keen on signing the forward. Not only that, the report has indicated that the Championship side are also looking into a move for Aaron Ramsey. Unlike Bale, Ramsey has one year left on his contract at Juventus but is not a part of the Turin side’s plans for the 2022/23 season.

That does open a move away for the midfielder, especially after a mixed loan spell at Rangers but the Telegraph has revealed that no formal offers has been made. Furthermore, the report has confirmed that Tottenham aren’t looking to sign Bale for a third time although a move to the MLS in the United States could be on the cards for Bale.
