Tammy Abraham is set to join AC Milan permanently for £20 million after scoring 10 goals during his loan spell, including 4 in the Coppa Italia. Despite Milan struggles in Serie A (currently ninth), the 27-year-old has impressed. Former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte and Roberto De Zerbi are potential replacements for current Milan coach Sergio Conceicao.
With the summer transfer window approaching, Tammy Abraham is set to complete a £20 million permanent move to AC Milan from Roma. The 27-year-old England international, who has 11 national caps, has been on loan at Milan this season, netting 10 goals overall — though only three have come in Serie A. He has made a significant impact in the Coppa Italia, scoring four goals in three rounds, helping Milan reach the semi-finals. His latest Coppa strike came in the first leg against archrivals Inter.
Despite Abraham’s contributions, Milan are struggling in the league, sitting ninth in Serie A. This disappointing form may cost current head coach Sergio Conceicao his job at the end of the season. Abraham’s arrival is likely to go ahead regardless of who is in charge. Since moving from Chelsea to Roma for £34 million in 2021, Abraham has scored 37 goals in three years — 27 of them in his standout first season.
Antonio Conte, currently at Napoli, and Roberto De Zerbi, now with Marseille, are among the leading candidates to replace Conceicao. Milan are also reportedly interested in signing Manchester City’s Kyle Walker, suggesting a major squad overhaul could be underway.
