In the Premier League, Chelsea secured a 3-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers, propelling them back into the top four. This win ended a five-match winless streak for Chelsea, which had been faltering since mid-December. Despite a blunder from goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, who allowed a goal from Matt Doherty after dropping a corner, Chelsea responded strongly.

They had initially taken the lead through Tosin Adarabioyo's first Premier League goal for the club. In the second half, Marc Cucurella and Noni Madueke scored, with Cucurella's brilliant finish putting Chelsea ahead before Madueke doubled their advantage. The win brings Chelsea closer to qualifying for the Champions League next season.

Chelsea dominated possession early in the game, with Cole Palmer, returning from injury, testing Wolves' goalkeeper Jose Sa. Wolves struggled to convert their chances and conceded after Sanchez’s mistake. Chelsea then regained control, and their clinical finishing ensured a comfortable lead. Despite a late effort from Wolves, Chelsea's defence held strong. This defeat leaves Wolves just outside the relegation zone, having lost three consecutive matches after an initial surge under new manager Vitor Pereira.
