Telugu Titans have only won one of their eight matches till now and they desperately needed to win the match against Bengal Warriors. However, they ended up tying the match. Telugu Titans started strong but lost track in the second half. By the end of the first half, Bengal Warriors were on the verge of an all-out and Telugu did inflict an all in the starting of the second half. Telugu gained a five-point lead after that but were unable to sustain it.
Suraj Desai scored seven raid points and proved that he is not a one-match wonder but on the other hand their strike raider Siddharth only scored four points. Telugu have always lacked a good support raider and when Suraj did perform well, Siddharth was below average.
“It was decent. Next match I’ll try and better this performance,” Siddharth said on his performance in the post-match press conference.
For Bengal Warriors, Mohammed Nabibakhsh was phenomenal in both raiding and defending and scored a total of eight points. Skipper Maninder fell short as he scored only five points and got tackled four times but despite his individual performance, he was able to guide his team well as Bengal recovered well after the all-out.
“There was no panic at any moment. We were calm and composed. We knew we could overturn the deficit without a problem,” Maninder expressed.
