On the court, Stan Wawrinka has been known for his cool and composed demeanor but today he showed his funny side during a round of 16 match in the Australian Open at the Melbourne Park. During the match, a fan who seemed to be a fan of Swiss legend Roger Federer shouted “Go Roger” from the stands. Wawrinka was making his way to the baseline to serve when the spectator screamed "Go Roger". The Swiss player stopped for a moment and pointed his finger towards the court where Federer was playing his round of 16 match against World No.5 Kei Nishikori.
Wawrinka went on to win his match 7-6,7-6,7-6 while Federer was pushed to the limit by Nishikori but ended up booking a place in the quarter-finals by a score of 6-7, 6-4, 6-1, 4-6, 6-3.
