An iguana paid an unexpected visit to the Miami Open match between Tommy Haas and Jiri Vesely and even took a stroll on the court before being escorted out of the playing arena. Haas even managed to take a selfie with the reptile, before going down to his opponent 6-7 (5-7) 6-3 7-5.

Tommy Haas’ encounter with Jiri Vesely at the Miami Open witnessed a bizarre incident when an Iguana ran onto the court during the match, which resulted in the halting of play for a couple of minutes. The officials tried to get hold of the reptile while it did around of the court, making itself comfortable on the scoreboard, in the process.

Haas even managed to take a selfie with the reptile and shared it on his Instagram account. Here is the selfie.

Further, though, the iguana was escorted away from the court, it certainly enjoyed its moment in the sun. After the incident, Jiri Vesely went on to win 6-7 (5-7) 6-3 7-5.
