IPL 2022, LSG vs RR | Twitter reacts to Jos Buttler and Riyan Parag's mind-boggling catch
In cricket, there is a saying that catches win matches and very rarely such moments are witnessed but the IPL 2022 has produced one such moment which will be etched in the minds of fans forever. Jos Buttler and Riyan Parag's presence of mind produced an epic catch that dismissed Krunal Pandya.
The match between Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants is proving to be a very exciting game. The Rajasthan Royals after batting first scored 178/6 on the back of some solid batting from Devdutt Padikkal and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Paddikal scored 38 and Jaiswal with 41 made sure that the platform was set for the batters that followed to go big in the final overs. The Sanju Samson-led side would have been happy with the total during the innings break.
LSG came out to chase the target as they want a win to qualify for the playoffs. However, Trent Boult's twin strikes in the third over put them on the backfoot. That was followed by KL Rahul being dismissed by Prasidh Krishna to make things more difficult for them. But, the moment that sent fans, as well as commentators, into a tizzy was the epic catch that Jos Buttler and Riyan Parag took at the boundary ropes.
The incident occurred on the first ball of the thirteenth over when Krunal Pandya smashed Ravichandran Ashwin down the ground and it looked like it will go for a six. But, Jos Buttler's superhuman effort helped him take the catch and when he realised that he might go over the boundary ropes, he popped the ball back to Riyan Parag who assisted him in completing the catch.
