Repeating the same mistakes again and again can be disturbing to one’s mindset and it was no different feeling for Virat Kohli in the morning session of the second Test at the Adelaide Oval. He got a deja vu moment after falling to a similar kinda dismissal as that of the first innings.

Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal failed to continue with his good form as Mitchell Starc removed him on the first ball of the Test before Shubman Gill made way to strong a formidable stand with KL Rahul. The right-handed duo negated the Kangaroos for a long time in the morning session until Starc caused havoc with the pink ball in his second spell.

The first ball of the 21st over saw Starc dish a short of a length delivery just outside the off stump to Kohli who was in two minds to play or miss. As the ball nipped a tad inward, Kohli was late to withdraw after a half-hearted prod and ended up incurring an outside edge towards the slip cordon. Steve Smith at the second slip did not miss out on plucking the ball, offering Starc his third wicket of the match. Kohli was dismissed in a similar way in the first innings of the Perth Test and the fans in Twitterverse was left deja vu, courtesy of Starc’s pink ball exploits.
