‌India’s batting shone brightly, powered by a 201-run partnership between Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul, before Mitchell Starc dismissed Rahul in the 63rd over. Devdutt Padikkal then joined Jaiswal, contributing to a strong stand that extended India’s lead to 321 runs by lunch, with the score at 275/1. The afternoon session started dramatically as Padikkal fell to Hazlewood on the very first ball.
