MI vs DC | Twitter laughs as Kuldeep celebrates googly to outdo Rickelton with absurd 'Siuu' attempt

Ryan Rickelton had his middle stump flattened by Kuldeep Yadav in the encounter between MI and DC in Delhi on Sunday

Cricket, like an imitation life, contains multitude of personalities that make it worth watching -- for every Shivnarine Chanderpaul, there is a Hardik Pandya. Kuldeep Yadav tried to embrace the flary side of his on Sunday after dispatching Ryan Rickelton all hands up, but could not get through it.

Mumbai Indians raced their way to 59/1 in the powerplay after being asked to bat first by Delhi Capitals in their first game of the season at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, largely courtesy of a blazing start by Ryan Rickelton. The Proteas batter had already struck five boundaries and a maximum by the time the fielding restrictions were lifted, despite watching his captain perish at the other end, and added another lusty blow to his name before Axar Patel decided to bring Kuldeep Yadav into the attack in the eighth over. While the move worked wonders, the wristspinner left a lot to be desired when it came to the celebration.

On the fourth ball of the over, Kuldeep trundled in from over the wicket against the southpaw and pitched a straight ball on length to push Rickelton onto the backfoot. However, as the opener tried to guide the ball down third man by opening the face of his blade, the Kookaburra spun the other way to breeze through a huge gap and clatter into the middle stump. Kuldeep was understandably ecstatic for having bowled the perfect wrong-un' to send his bamboozled counterpart packing for a quick 41 off 25, and decided the occassion called for a celebration.

The 30-year-old took a couple of strides forward and leapt in the air, indicating he was going for the famous Cristiano Ronaldo celebration that has been christened 'Siuuu' and commonly practiced in cricket by several players including compatriot Mohammed Siraj, but the execution failed to match expectations. Instead, Kuldeep simply landed back on his feet with two pumped firsts, instead of extending his arms as per the conventional approach. Twitterati, however, could not love the effort more.
