Bhuvneshwar Kumar became the 19th Indian bowler to take 100 ODI wickets on Saturday when he took the wicket of Australian captain Aaron Finch in his second over at the Sydney Cricket Ground. While Bhuvneshwar is now labeled as one of the best opening and death over bowlers alongside partner Jasprit Bumrah, he is also the fourth slowest Indian to attain the milestone. It took Bhuvneshwar 96 ODIs to get 100 wickets and he still has the likes of Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh and Ravi Shastri – all managing the same in more matches. He ended the match with two wickets giving away 66 runs.
Here is how the Twitterati reacted to it-

1st Wicket - Hafeez (Bowled)
100th Wicket - Finch (Bowled)
Just don't go into the stats!
Bhuvneshwar Kumar completes 100 wickets in ODIs. It took him 96 matches. In terms of matches he's now the slowest Indian pacer to reach 100 wickets. Perfect example of how not to judge a player simply by stats.

100th ODI wicket. What a beauty, Bhuvi.

Not a death bowler?
Bhuvneshwar Kumar's last three overs cost 40 runs and leaked four fours and two sixes. No longer the death bowler he once was of late.

His importance in the team is beyond numbers!
Bhuvneshwar Kumar taking 100 wickets in 96 matches makes for a very bad statistic. But his importance goes beyond the bare numbers. He is Fannie de Villiers to Jasprit Bumrah's . Quite a lethal weapon, but happy to play the second fiddle. Congratulations, Bhuvi.

What a bowler,my favourite 😍
Bhuvneshwar Kumar is that player who tries to swing the ball both side & even on these pitches he can be vital bowler because there is little bit of movement..

Don't know why that man always goes underrated with red ball even after having a fantastic red ball stats!
Not everyone is happy!
We need to Get Over such an Inconsistent Brat

Back injury and how it was managed has done a lot of damage to Bhuvneshwar Kumar's pace, control and his lengths.
