WI vs NZ | Twitter reacts as Gudakesh Motie unleashes middle stump thunderbolt on perplexed Daryl Mitchell

Nothing delights a bowler more than outsmarting an in-form batter and claiming their wicket with a well-executed delivery. This scenario unfolded during the West Indies vs New Zealand match in Trinidad, where Gudakesh Motie's masterful delivery bewildered Daryl Mitchell, leading to his dismissal.

‌Chasing a target of 150 runs, the New Zealand team got off to a decent start with Finn Allen and Devon Conway scoring 12 runs without loss in the first two overs. However, Akeal Hosein continued his impressive form from the previous match and dismissed Conway in the third over. The Kiwis faced further setbacks as they lost Allen, Kane Williamson, and Rachin Ravindra quickly, finding themselves at 55/4 by the end of the ninth over. Meanwhile, Gudakesh Motie showcased his excellent form by claiming a three-fer, including the dismissal of Daryl Mitchell with a beautifully delivered ball.

On the last ball of the 11th over,  Motie bowled a full-length delivery on the middle stump that subtly turned. Mitchell, deceived by the drift, leaned forward to drive down the ground but misjudged the spin. The ball spun past his bat and clipped the top of the off and middle stumps. Mitchell, visibly confused, took a moment to comprehend what had happened before slowly walking back to the pavilion.

Motie and his West Indian teammates celebrated the crucial breakthrough, while social media, including Twitter, erupted with praise for Motie's skilful delivery and discussed Mitchell's perplexed reaction to the dismissal.
