A little friendly banter can go a long way in smoothing out the pressure of a cricket game. Such was the scene at the contest between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals where Indian veterans Ishant Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja indulged in a friendly banter amidst Delhi’s defense.

Chennai's batting witnessed its poorest powerplay display of the season as they took to the crease. Both openers, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rachin Ravindra, fell in the third and fourth overs respectively, leaving CSK struggling at 32/2 after six overs. With Ajinkya Rahane and Daryl Mitchell at the helm, the team managed to reach 75/2 by the 10th over. However, a slight hiccup occurred in CSK's innings with the rapid dismissals of Rahane, Mitchell, and Sameer Rizvi. Yet, amidst their challenging chase, a lighthearted moment unfolded between two long-time friends. In the 14th over's third ball, Ishant Sharma delivered an overpitched delivery to Shivam Dube, resulting in a slice to deep point. However, the third umpire intervened, declaring it a no-ball just as Ishant prepared to bowl again, this time to Ravindra Jadeja. Despite the interruption, the 35-year-old Indian pacer managed to deliver a superb yorker, causing Jadeja some difficulty as he squeezed the ball onto the pitch. In the midst of this, Ishant swiftly approached Jadeja, retrieving the ball. Yet, upon picking it up, he glanced at CSK's renowned all-rounder, sharing a humorous exchange amidst friendly banter. This moment of camaraderie-turned-rivalry between the two old pals sparked laughter on Twitter, becoming a hot topic of discussion.
