In the fifth match of the ongoing Pakistan One Day Cup, the Lake City Panthers won the toss and elected to bat first against the Nurpur Panthers. The decision didn’t pay off at the start as their top four struggled against the opposition's pace attack before the lower order helped them to get to 283 runs in the first innings. In response, the Lions lost Sajjad Ali Hashmi and Abdullah Shafique early before Imam-ul-Haq and Omair Yousuf stabilised the ship with a 36-run stand. Although Imam held the fort from one end, his partners failed to convert the starts. Eventually, the southpaw succumbed to the setbacks and lost his calm in the dressing room.
Having already scored five fours and two sixes in his knock, Imam rocked back and intended to cut a widish good length delivery from Shadab Khan on the 23rd over’s first ball. In the process, he got the outside edge en route to the wicketkeeper and had to walk back to the hut. Shadab was seen ecstatic after scalping the big wicket while the camera caught Imam agitated in the dressing room. He slammed the bat out of frustration and hurled the helmet before sitting on the chair devastated. Right after, the batter put his arms behind his head in frustration and vented out his anger, leaving the Twitterverse abuzz.
Imam losing patience!
