The All India Football Federation has made a decision regarding the broadcasting rights of the I-League, which has been confirmed to start on Friday, 22 November. There have been a lot of controversies surrounding the same, as the teams demanded the matches to be broadcast on the Song Sports network.

It has been confirmed that the AIFF will now be having a make-or-break decision with Shrachi Sports and with the decision coming out just hours before the kickoff of the tournament, the first few games won't be televised for the fans. The first match of the tournament will be between Sreenidi Deccan and Gokulam Kerala, to be played at 4:30 PM.

The clubs which are participating in the tournament will be paying 12 lakh rupees each to the Sony network, as the broadcasting cost has been valued approximately at 2.5 crore rupees. This fee does not include the 7 lakh rupees paid by clubs to play in the I-League tournament.

It has been reported that approximately 100 of the 132 games of the tournament will be streamed live for the fans on the Sony Sports network. It should also be noted that Sony has not given any response about this deal to the media.
